My passion for photography developed while working at Downline where part of my job was creating visual content for the organization’s digital strategy. Realizing this was a craft I could use to pay for travels and add another income stream, I started learning everything I could and shooting as much as possible. Besides those benefits, seeing the world through the lens of a camera helps me think outside the box, work creatively in various environments, discover new ways to see familiar things, understand psychology behind the emotions in a model, and help tell a story through visual art. Provide in-store support to ~25 natural food brands (emerging and category leaders) within 7 Whole Foods in Northern VA and Washington, D.C. area. Quickly built relationships with buyers, and store leadership to sell in new skus, and ensure each brand is represented at optimal potential within each store. Communicate in-store status and changes of brands with CRM tool. Consistently have brands in top 10% of account’s region.
Catering Hub Operations Manager
Panera Bread | Memphis, TN 2017 - 2018
Responsible for the success of catering operations for East Memphis, Midtown, and Downtown Memphis areas. Successfully transformed an underperforming operation, high stress environment. Led a team of 3 - 6 catering specialists working hands on in a fast-paced environment. Implemented and managed quality assurance, and operational best processes to ensure scheduled deliveries were on-time and accurate, daily. Reported to the General Manager for sales, paper orders, customer interactions, staffing & scheduling, and product ordering.
Communication & EVENTs Manager
Downline | Memphis, TN, 2016 - 2017
Oversaw the digital strategy and execution of that strategy within the non-profit, reporting to Executive Director and Resource Manager. Working on the resource and production teams, I directly managed the distribution of all digital content on all platforms (podcast, blog, social media, and e/mailing lists) working to maximize creative opportunities across channels, measuring reach and engagement. Worked closely with outsourced agencies to develop branded content assets. Managed online store (new products, sales and fulfillment, product images.) Curated content, edited and designed quarterly newsletter. Curated and created content for weekly email communications to Institute students, monthly communication to alumni, and event based communication to financial supporters and key stakeholders.
Led digital and social strategy for annual Downline Summit conference. Worked closely with graphic designers, and web team to create all media assets including digital and print. Managed sponsorship relationships, creating sponsor packet, and ensuring all sponsorship’s were executed accurately before and during event. Led a team of 6 content creators (photographers, influencers, videographer) to promote event through social channels including instagram stories and feed, live tweeting, facebook pages, website.
The Zach Pearson Show - 2016, ongoing
Launched a podcast that interviews leaders and high achievers from various industries about their work and life. The podcast focused on living a life doing things that matter, living intentionally, and challenging the status quo. This was a project I developed to learn from people I personally admired, and had accomplishments that I could pull key lessons from and share to my audience. The content is long-form (1-3hrs) diving deep into each guest’s life and work allowing each episode to have key timeless lessons. Recruited and managed audio engineer to produce each episode. Built website, wrote show notes, and managed social media sharing across all podcasts platforms. Currently this project is lives here.

Outdoors Inc. | Memphis, TN, 2015 - 2016
Outfitted human-powered outdoor recreation with high quality gear. Opened and closed store. Reported to store manager on merchandising displays for seasonal and new product placements, in store sales / promotion success, receiving shipments. Worked with customer and brands on special orders, improved special order process by implementing a quality assurance and customer order tracking system. Hosted seasonal sales event, creating in-store signage and outdoor marque signs copy.

Created and developed the concept of a Southwest Grill & Pizzeria that kicked it up a notch. Wrote and pitched business plan for asset capitol. Team lead on the zero to launch project, managing day-to-day operations during start up phase, establishing brand image, promises, systems, menu product offering and cost analysis, catering/delivery strategy, hiring & on boarding, managing vendor/business partner relationships. Contracted and managed relationship with brand strategy group to develop full branding identity for restaurant. Developed and ran social media ads (Facebook, Instagram) to promote business. Worked with Yelp, Google, and FourSquare with online presence. Ran local radio ads, working with radio team to write and produce ad, budget, and promotion schedule.

Panera Bread | Mid-South Region, 2011-2015
Oversaw catering sales and marketing for all nine bakery-cafes across the Mid-South (TN, AR, MS). Led marketing efforts for 4 new openings. Managed 9 Catering Coordinators (CCs), providing strategic vision and direction for tailored marketing efforts to drive sales and growth. Provided ongoing coaching and support to CCs to help them achieve key performance targets. Designed and delivered training on brand and operational excellence. Drove all regional marketing efforts, often liaising directly with graphic designers providing quality assurance and brand oversight, collaborating with senior management outside Mid-South on implementation of strategic brand and marketing initiatives, and designing brand assets for local store campaigns and events. Managed social media channels for Mid-South market (Twitter, Facebook). Wrote press releases for publication in local news media outlets for new store openings, community partnership announcements, event promotion, etc. Appeared on local news special (WREG-TV) promoting new seasonal menu items. Worked alongside Marketing Manager to place local radio ads, including on digital platforms (e.g., Pandora).
